Odwira Festival 2019 promises to bring together the people of Okuapemman, Ghana and Africans from across the Diaspora for a unique cultural experience, presenting an opportunity to learn about and connect with the rich history of Okuapemman. Dubbed

“Odwira Unlimited”,

This year’s Festival considers the significance of the Year of Return in the lives of Africans around the world and is set to combine the colourful cultural drumbeat at the heart of the Festival with fun, modern attractions towards creating an unforgettable experience for its patrons.

By combining sports, entertainment and the experience of local arts and culture, as well as hiking, expeditions, mountain climbing and marathons, this year’s Odwira promises to have something for everyone.

There will also be the opportunity to visit attractions like the Aburi gardens, Boti falls, Bosomase falls, the Abontsi slave market, Okomfo Anokye’s home, the Larteh shrine, the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa farm, as well as a tour of the Chief’s Palace, cultural durbars amongst other activities.
